Cremation Services

Dignified direct cremation with every administrative and logistical detail handled for you. We explain the process plainly and move at the pace your family needs.

A memorial service can be held before or after cremation, at our chapel or a location that meant something to your family, giving relatives and friends a place to gather and reflect.

Documenting cremation preferences in advance gives your family clear guidance and removes uncertainty later. We help you record your wishes and keep them on file.

Why Leonia Families Choose Eden Memorial Chapels

Eden Memorial Chapels has served the Jewish community for more than 30 years, and we are family-owned and operated. That means our commitment is to the families we serve, not to shareholders. The person who answers the phone at two in the morning is one of our own, and the director who sits with you the next day is the one who will guide you through every step.

We serve Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, secular Jewish, and interfaith families, and we provide respectful, honest information about Jewish perspectives on cremation without pressure. Whatever a family decides, we support it fully. We also help with obituary notices and memorial announcements. Because our chapel sits minutes from the George Washington Bridge, we coordinate memorial and receiving services throughout the tri-state area, along with worldwide shipping and transfers to Israel.

We believe in sensible, transparent pricing. You should never have to ask twice what something costs, and you should never learn a number for the first time while sitting across a desk.

About Leonia, New Jersey

and incorporated in 1894. Home to roughly 9,300 residents, it has been called the Athens of New Jersey since the late 19th century, when painters, writers, and performers settled here for the quiet streets and quick access to Manhattan. That character still shows today in the Player's Guild of Leonia, one of New Jersey's oldest continuing community theater companies, and in the Erika and David Boyd Sculpture Garden and the Sculpture for Leonia works placed along Broad Avenue and in Wood Park.

Broad Avenue is the borough's main hub, lined with local restaurants, an H Mart, and the stop for the NJ Transit 166 express bus to the Port Authority in Manhattan. On Leonia's western edge sits Overpeck County Park, more than 800 acres surrounding Overpeck Creek, with the Henry Hoebel Area and its 9/11 World Trade Center memorial running alongside Fort Lee Road. Grand Avenue (Route 93) runs through the center of town, and Interstate 95 passes along the northern edge, placing Leonia about two miles from the George Washington Bridge.
