Suzanne Jacobowitz, born on January 6, 1935, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026. She was a woman whose life was marked by intelligence, loyalty, and an unwavering dedication to her family and personal passions.
A graduate of Barnard College in 1956, Suzanne held education in the highest regard throughout her life. She was an avid reader with a profound interest in the arts, humanities, and science. Her commitment to learning and intellectual curiosity was a defining characteristic, reflected not only in her personal pursuits but also in the values she imparted to her family.
Before devoting herself fully to raising her family, Suzanne worked at Grey Advertising in New York City, a foundation of her early career. Those who knew her would remember her as fiercely loyal and intellectually sharp, never hesitant to voice her opinion and stand firmly by those she loved.
Suzanne's interests were as varied as they were enriching. She delighted in doing the New York Times crossword puzzle in ink, watching the Yankees play, traveling, and spending cherished time with her grandchildren. Music held a special place in her life, particularly classical music, which she embraced through performances at Lincoln Center, reflecting her refined cultural tastes.
Family was Suzanne’s proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her beloved children: Glenn, married to Marilyn; Dana, married to Michael Yormark; and Karen, married to Jeff Mayerson. She was a devoted grandmother to Bryan, Lauren, Brett, Adam, and Sophia, who brought immense joy to her life. Suzanne was preceded in death by her husband, Walter, who passed away in September 2015. Together they raised their family in Morristown NJ.
A graveside service to honor Suzanne’s life will be held on April 23, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery, located at 12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, New Jersey, 07663.
