Lewis Friedman passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, just shy of his 94th birthday. His long life was a testament to his incredible resilience, unwavering spirt, and love for his family.

Born in Bronx, New York on July 30, 1931 to Belle and Abraham Friedman, he graduated from James Monroe High School in 1949. He was drafted into the army and spent two years in Korea (1951-53), earning a purple heart and oak clusters. He went to college and law school at NYU on the G.I. Bill and practiced law for more than 60 years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Zilz, her son Arthur (Jackie) and his children from his marriage to the late Dorothy Friedman, Robert and Lori (and David Ingber) and his grandchildren, Juliana and Harrison Friedman, and Adam and Joshua Ingber and Zoie Zilz.

Funeral services will be held at the Chapel at Cedar Park and Beth El Cemeteries in Paramus, New Jersey on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at 10:45 am.

Shiva will be observed at the homes of Diane Zilz and Lori and David Ingber  following burial. Shiva will continue at these locations on Wednesday, times to be determined.
