Beloved Memory of Iraida Yassiyevich
Iraida Yassiyevich, 94, passed away peacefully on the evening of August 9, 2026 in the comfort of her home. Born September 4, 1931 in Leningrad, Russia, Ira lead a life of kindness, softness, understanding, sensitivity, deep care, and resilience.
She moved people with her calm and soft ways, understanding nature, wisdom, and ease of looking at life.
She lived a life that had struggles, including surviving the Siege of Leningrad when she was a small child, and beating cancer multiple times. She never let any of her suffering diminish her value as a person or affect those around her. She always rose above it, more empowered, wiser, calmer, and understanding.
She enjoyed eating good food, making apple pie, gardening, had a beautiful knowledge of plants, loved walking outside and being in nature, picking blueberries, swimming, and a good heartfelt laugh. She was humored and cherished by her grandkids and great grandkids, and she also cherished and loved them to no end.
Ira is survived by her son Sergey, her brother Alik, her sister Polina, her grandchildren Gennady and Linda, her great-grandchildren Daniel and Raphael, her cousins Arkadiy, Leonid, Lev, and Michail, and her nieces and nephew Margaret, Elena, and Dimitry.
In memory of Iraida, please join us August 12, 2026 at 1:00pm at Cedar Park Cemetery, to commemorate her life and the hope and strength she brought to the world.
